Labor Day Weekend Service & Clean Bear Site Reminder

Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest stretches of the year in Big Bear Lake. Between the rodeo, the drone show, and a valley full of visitors, there is a lot going on and a lot of extra waste that comes with it.
Here is what to know before the weekend.
No Changes to Collection
Your regular collection schedule is unaffected. Residential routes run Tuesday through Friday, so the Monday holiday does not shift anything. Set your carts out by 6 AM on your normal day, same as always.
Office Hours
Our office will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We reopen Tuesday during regular hours, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. You can manage your account anytime at portal.bigbeardisposal.com, or leave a message at (909) 866-3942 and we will follow up when we are back.
A Reminder About the Clean Bear Site
Holiday weekends generate more than a cart can hold. That is what the Clean Bear Site is for. Clean Bear Site No. 1 is located at 41970 Garstin Drive and is open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. It is available to residents of the 92315 zip code, and you will need proof of residency to use it.
One thing worth flagging if you have not been by recently: Clean Bear Site No. 2 on Big Bear Boulevard closed in August. Garstin Drive is now the site serving the City, so if Site No. 2 was your usual stop, that is where to head.
A Few Things That Help
Keep carts closed and secure through the weekend. Bears are active this time of year and a holiday weekend is exactly when they go looking.
If you are hosting, break down boxes and flatten packaging before it goes in the blue cart. It buys you a surprising amount of room.
